At K.P. Kamolkij Intertrade Co., Ltd., we began by importing and distributing a wide variety of products starting in the year 2000 (B.E. 2543). The products we imported ranged from kitchenware to tools and hardware. Eventually, we ventured into importing kitchen electrical appliances for distribution within Thailand, and discovered that:
Access to electrical appliances for the majority of people was still limited — many products were not widely available because most market leaders in Thailand launched their products at medium to high price points, with limited variety. Driven by our commitment to making efficient, easy-to-use, and straightforward electrical appliances accessible to everyone, we carefully selected products designed and manufactured to suit the needs of Thai consumers. We began distributing through general department stores across various provinces, as well as through authorized dealer shops in each region.
By 2010 (B.E. 2553), the era of e-commerce platforms had begun. Khun Weerapon Ngamchatratsriwichai, Chief Marketing Officer, experimented with selling products from the company — including Kashiwa kitchen electrical appliances — through an online store under the name “Galaxy Shop.” The store achieved remarkable success.
In 2017 (B.E. 2560), the company was invited to join an exclusive group of 5 top online sellers from Thailand for an in-depth seminar with executives from Alibaba and Lazada Group.
As one of the “Top 5 Online Merchants” selected from across Southeast Asia, the team participated in a workshop at Alibaba Campus in Hangzhou, China. The knowledge and insights gained from this world-class forum were brought back to develop the company’s platform and team, in order to elevate the online shopping experience for Thai consumers.
Over more than 25 years of business operations under K.P. Kamolkij Intertrade Co., Ltd., Kashiwa has never stopped developing — in terms of product quality, service, and a deep understanding of Thai consumers. Steady growth in a rapidly changing world made us recognize the need to adapt.
Kashiwa has therefore refreshed its brand image with a new logo that reflects simplicity, modernity, and clearly communicates the concept of “accessible, practical, and trustworthy.”
